GAGE Sampler
A sampler and a composer in one.
Load instruments, choose a key and scale, and press one button. GAGE plays its own parts, following rules you set.
- Multisampling engine. Zones mapped by key and velocity, with ADSR, filter and per-part effects.
- Generative Engine. Parts pick their own notes from Scale, Next Note, Harmony and Rhythm rules, with chord mode, runs and Look Ahead.
- Rules tab. Edit a part’s Scale, Next Note, Harmony and Rhythm tables, starting from preset tables or presets you have saved.
- More chord types. sus2, sus4, 6th, add9, 9th, power, stacked 4ths and 5ths, 11th and 13th.
- Arrangement. Decide when each part enters, how long it plays and how long it rests. Solo or mute any part.
- Arrangement Grid. See and edit when every part comes in, plays and rests on one timeline.
- Key/Scale Arrangement. A road map of key and scale changes, with Loop, End and repeat-a-section choices.
- MIDI-import parts. Play back a fixed part alongside generative ones, looping where the file’s own End of Track marker says.
- Drum part. A step-sequenced grid, with Euclidean rhythms, ratchets, swing and per-drum volume.
- Automation. Lanes for Cutoff, Resonance, Volume and Pan.
- Templates. Save a whole “song” and reload it, with Reverb, Delay and Chorus. Name each part, tag a template by mood and browse by mood.
- Loudness. Set a template’s gain by hand, or let GAGE measure it and set the gain for −21 LUFS.
- OSC control. Drive GAGE from a game engine, with an OSC Mapping window that shows every address.
- Skins. Change how GAGE looks; make and share your own.
- Undo and redo, a built-in metronome and performance recording.

Each clip is GAGE Sampler playing one template on its own for a little over a minute, recorded straight out of GAGE. We only matched their volumes and added gentle fades. Play a template again and it plays differently.
